Pranayama Benefits: This pranayama keeps the entire generally healthy. It can be performed by all who have a healthy disposition in order to maintain their physical condition.

Pranayama Technique:

Sit down with both legs stretched in front.

Bend the right leg inwards and place the foot on the thigh joint of the left leg so that the toes of the right foot are on the outer edge of the left leg.

Similarly place the left leg on the right leg with the toes protruding out.

Encircling both the arms behind the back, hold the toes of both legs with the hands so that right hand holds the toes of the left foot, and left hand holds the toes of the right foot.

Keeping the body absolutely erect from the back and neck to the base of spine; perform poorak, kumbhak and rechak in the ratio of 4:16:8.

Continue with the asana and pranayama till the whole body is flushed and invigorated.

End the asana and perform the exercise for cleansing the breath to relax the body.
