Yoga Positions and Yoga Poses - Yoniasana

Yoniasana Benefits: This yoga asana cures the disorders of the lower limbs and makes them stronger. It is very helpful for all the genitor-uterine disorders. It cures piles, haemorrhoids and fistula of the anus. It is a meditative pose so it can be performed for longer durations.

Yoga Positions and Yoga Poses - Yoniasana Technique:

  1. Sit on the seat with the legs stretched in front.
  2. Bend the legs and arms and place the toes and ankles against each other with the soles of feet touching each other.
  3. Hold the feet and place the heels near the navel and testicles.
  4. Turn the feet so that they face upwards.
  5. Place both the hands on the knees, placing the thumb on the index finger, other fingers should remain open.
  6. This is the Gyan mudra. Sit in it with the stretched body that is kept absolutely erect from the waist up.
  7. This asana can be done for as long as possible. Meditation can also be done in this yoga asana for greater benefits.
