Yoga Positions and Yoga Exercises - Sarvangabaddhasana

Sarvangabaddhasana Benefits: It helps reduce fat and cures obesity. It makes the body strong and supple and improves the musculature of the body. This asana helps one to have strong nervous system even in old age. It improves the blood circulation and cures the heart diseases.

Caution: This is a difficult yoga asana and one must take care while doing it. It is advisable to eventually do it because it is very helpful for the system.

Yoga Positions and Yoga Exercises - Sarvangabaddhasana Technique:

  1. Lie down on the seat with the face up.
  2. Slowly raise the legs, lift the trunk, hips and legs to a near vertical position.
  3. Bring the knees towards the abdomen and make the toes touch the ground.
  4. Raise the hands and hold the legs.
  5. Maintain the position to begin with only for five seconds. Gradually increase the duration to five minutes.
