Yoga Poses and Yoga Postures - Poornottanasana

Poornottanasana Benefits: This yoga asana gives all the benefits of Halasana. It makes the muscles of neck, chest and shoulders strong. It improves the blood circulation. It improves the nervous system by energizing the brain. It helps the respiratory system also cures diseases of the lungs and throat. It is believed that this asana can reverse the process of ageing.

Yoga Poses and Yoga Postures - Poornottanasana Technique:

  1. Lie in Shavasana. Raise both the feet towards the head and place the toes on the ground. The rest of the body should be kept straight.
  2. Raising the hands bring them towards the hips.
  3. Slowly move the hands and hold the big toes of the feet, left hand should hold the left toe and right hand should hold the right toe.
  4. Pull the toes towards the head till the chin touches the chest.
  5. Care should be taken to keep the feet muscles tensed all this while.
  6. This is Jalandhara Bandh.
  7. The position can be maintained for sometime as is comfortable.
