Yoga Exercises and Yoga Postures - Pavanamuktasana

Pavanamuktasana Benefits: Clears the digestive system of foul gases. It is good for the respiratory system also.

Yoga Exercises and Yoga Postures - Pavanamuktasana Technique:

  1. While sitting bend knees and bring them close to the body so that the heels touch the thighs.
  2. Wrap arms around the knees tightly and bend the body backwards so that the feet leave the seat.
  3. There is a pressure on the abdomen by the thighs.
  4. Inhale then relax and slowly relax again.
  5. This pressure on the abdomen by the thighs can be exerted by lying with face up and bending one leg each time and bringing the thigh closer to the abdomen, while the other is extended.
  6. Each time repeat changing the leg.
  7. It can be done for each time with the cycle of respiration for a minimum of six times to maximum of fifteen.
