Yoga Poses and Yoga Exercises - Padmasana - Lotus Position

Padmasana or Lotus Position Benefits: It helps improve concentration. Energizes the body, improves digestion, and cures constipation. And cures asthma, tuberculosis, cough and hysteria. Strengthens upper limbs of the body.

Yoga Poses and Yoga Exercises - Padmasana or Lotus Position Technique:

  • Sit comfortably and stretch both the legs forward.
  • Hold the right foot with both the hands, fold the knee and place it on the left thigh.
  • Fold the left leg and place it on the right thigh.
  • Keeping the body erect place the hands between the heels one over the other.
  • The hands can also rest on the knees.
  • The knees and thighs should not be raised from the ground.
  • Sit and maintain this position for as long as possible.
