Yoga Positions and Yoga Exercises - Mayurasana

Mayurasana Benefits: it is curative for the abdominal viscera. It improves the digestive process. It cures the body of all ailments related with phlegm, gout and bile. It makes the entire body shapely and beautiful and keeps it very energetic.

Yoga Positions and Yoga Exercises - Mayurasana Technique:

  1. Sit in Vajrasana with bent knees, pulling the knees inside slightly.
  2. Place the fingers between the knees firmly on the ground.
  3. Place the elbows together so that they touch the navel.
  4. Slowly inhale and stretch the legs backwards.
  5. The thighs, knees, ankles and toes should touch each other.
  6. Placing the palms firmly on the ground, the body is raised so that the whole body is parallel to the ground.
  7. Maintain position initially for a few seconds and later increase the duration.
  8. Care should be taken to keep the body straight like a stick.
