Yoga Poses and Yoga Positions - Kukkutasana

Kukkutasana Benefits: The muscles of the chest and arms become stronger with this asana. It improves the digestive system and increases the appetite. It cures constipation and destroys worms in the stomach; helps cure obesity by burning excess fat.

Yoga Poses and Yoga Positions - Kukkutasana Technique:

  1. Sit as in Padmasana.
  2. Put both arms between the calves till the elbows.
  3. Place the palms on the ground, with fingers pointing outwards.
  4. Balance the body and raise the entire body on the arms.
  5. Look upwards.
  6. This asana should be performed for short durations only.
