Yoga Poses and Positions - Dwipad Bhujasana

Dwipad Bhujasana Benefits: This asana can be done by pregnant ladies but not more than two months into the pregnancy. It benefits the ladies who experience frequent miscarriages. Women have easy delivery and less labour pains if they practice this asana. The thighs and shoulders strengthen with this asana. Centre obesity is reduced with this asana as it reduces the belly fat.

Yoga Poses and Positions - Dwipad Bhujasana Technique:

  1. Raise one leg as in Dwipad Shirasana over the shoulder so that the knee joint should rest on the shoulder.
  2. Repeat with the other leg also.
  3. Interlock the fingers of both the hands behind the neck.
  4. Fix gaze on the nails of the toes.
  5. Practice time can be slowly increased as per one’s comfort.
  6. The asana can be practiced initially by putting only one leg behind the shoulder. Then it is called Ek Pad Bhujasana.
