Yogurt-Honey Cleanser

October 27, 2008

Though it’s true that sun is pivotal for life, it is also true that it can lead to dry, flaked and irritated skin. Does this imply that you have to spend your entire summer indoors to protect your skin from the harmful effects of sun? Not necessary. You can use certain facial cleansers for the perfect skin. You need not go spending bounty over cosmetic lotions as you can prepare a healthy and natural facial cleanser at home with the help of yogurt and honey. This is not only inexpensive but also healthy for the skin as it is widely believed that treating your kin with natural herbs is always a smart way of skin care. The yogurt-honey cleanser is one such natural cleanser which is beneficial for your skin, especially during dry and sunny days. While the lactic acid in yogurt would help in softening the skin, honey would help in cleansing and moisturizing of it. Created by Linda Collins, this natural cleanser is a great help for attainment of a naturally healthy and glowing skin.

To prepare yogurt-honey cleanser at home, you need to mix together 1 cup plain yogurt and 2 ½ tablespoons of honey in a bowl. If you have oily skin, you can add a teaspoon of lemon juice to help absorb excess oil. Wash your face properly and apply this mixture on your face with clean and washed hands. Apply it evenly on face and neck and leave it for 5 minutes. Then, rinse well with warm water and pat dry. Follow this treatment with application of a moisturizer for that perfect, smooth and soft skin. Repeat this treatment once or twice a week.

Follow this simple and natural way of moisturizing and cleansing your face for a smooth and soft skin.
