What to eat when stressed out

February 19, 2009

Hey people do you know that whenever you are angry about something, or stressed about your relationship, your body deals with the problem by producing cortisol or stress hormone. Cortisol released enters into your blood stream where it hastens the formation of fat deposits, particularly around the waist. So it is very important that you take care of your body whenever you feel stressed out.

The very first step when you angry are to accept it. Denying stress or justifying it with some stupid statements doesn’t help anyone. Here in this article, you will find different foods that will certainly help you to keep your stress level in control so that you can lead happy and cheerful life in every way without adding weight to your body, so don’t think much and read below!

You will be glad to read that dairy products give you tryptophan, an amino acid that boosts the brain’s serotonin, calming it. not only this but tryphotan  is also present in chocolates, oats, bananas, dates, mangoes, dried dates, eggs, fish, sesame, poultry, chick-peas and peanuts. Include these foodstuffs in your diet to keep stress at bay.

Foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids such as salmon, flaxseeds, herring, tofu, walnuts, and mackerel reduce the cortisol levels plus the levels of other stress hormones in your body. So don’t forget to incorporate such foodstuffs in your diet.

Don’t shop for food on an empty stomach; this is because when you are hungry, you are more likely to reach for sugary foods. This will help in avoiding any unnecessary weight add to your body.

Try and Drink water whenever you get a sugar craving and wait for seven to ten minutes. It has been clonally proved that doing this kills your sugar craving.
