Welcome autumn with right kind of shoes

September 23, 2008

For autumn season, the heels of boots, half boots, ankle boots and pumps is few centimeters higher for women than that in spring or summer season. Certainly at autumn season, boots grab the limelight as they seem extremely irresistible and indispensable with ultra tight drainpipe trousers or underskirts for getting a casual, bohemian look. Rustic, hiking-inspired details such as buckles, eyelets and lacing as well as removable cuffs and pelt or fur trim do play a complementary role in your new boot collections of autumn season. Half boots and ankle boots are stealing the shows from classic boots in autumn season. Plateau heels and half boots with wedge soles go extremely well with wide-cut, high waist “Marlene style” trousers. This season heels are must in any case, even under ballerinas.

Daring women can go for the peep-toes boots, which leaves the wearer toes exposed. Toes come in various shapes-rounds, oval or square. Just choose the one of your liking from the wintry collection of peep-toe shoes.

Whether you go for classy pumps or delicate lace-up booties, make sure you opt dark color. Apart from black and brown, winter darks also predominates this season. Color you can choose from are plum, blackberry, petrol blue, moss green, winter’s dreary grey and dark blue. Remember that colorful heels can be really catchy. So make a smart choice. Also, make sure to keep a fine contrast between shiny and matte shades.

For getting a classy look, make sure to leave the accessories behind, but for a more glam look, keep the decorative details subtle.

Men, too, are gradually coming to realize how important attractive shoes are for their whole outfit. Though the choice of color for them still points to dignified black or brown shade, but colors like grey, metallic and olive greens too are making their own way in men’s wear.
