Ways to stretch your money

August 21, 2008

Do you always find yourself running short of cash as the middle of month approaches? Don’t settle for a paycheck -to-paycheck existence. Just become little smarter in treating your money and get yourself well informed about where your money is actually going. Here are some easy ways to monitor such days, just have a look!

Travel sensibly
If you take your car everyday for your work, cut that. Instead travel by an auto-rickshaw or a bus. No matter whichever way you choose to go by, make sure you achieve the primary purpose of lowering your traveling expenses.

Break your currency note:
You can always convert a thousand rupee note into 10 hundreds. This won’t let the vanishing act to work up as quickly. Also, make you conscious enough to understand that how your money is flying off.

Have easy money:

Make arrangements to have cash in hand throughout the year by indulging and investing in schemes like post office monthly scheme or RBI relief bonds that works on half yearly basis.

Go for a joint household expenses account:
If you open a joint household account, it will ensure that the grocery bills are not totally dumped on you alone. This account will be an added advantage in any case. It will allow you to carry out your clothes shopping craze successfully plus purchasing your guy’s gizmo too at the same time.

Watch movies at home:
Try to collect CDs from your friends and neighbors to watch out new movies. this will not only cut your traveling expenses but also, the cost of eating out that you spend on popcorns and drinks plus the cost of tickets too. however if you really want to go for it, then catch a matinee show as at that time rates are half the normal price.
