This leads to shoe bites and can also lead to various serious foot problems and spinal disorders if corrective action is not taken. If you want to buy shoes, you should preferably shop in late afternoon or evening as it has been found that feet swell over the course of the day. Also make sure that the ball of each foot fits into the widest part of the shoe.

If you know your feet has tendency of getting shoe bites with wearing of every new pair of shoes, you should first apply a little petroleum jelly inside your shoe and leave it overnight. Clean it with a cloth before wearing them the next morning. You can also apply castor oil or coconut oil inside your shoes for 3 consecutive nights to soften your shoes before wearing them. This in turn helps in preventing shoe bites.
