July 2, 2009

eyeproblemTaking proper care of our eyes is extremely important to let our world remain beautiful and colorful. However, there are many kinds of infections, ailments and problems that can affect our eyes. This article will provide you some important tips by which you can keep your vision strong and eyes healthy.

In today’s world, strained eyes have become very common and a major cause of this is long strenuous working hours and a hectic life. This in turn leads to fatigued and watery eyes and frequent headaches.

To prevent straining and stressing of eyes, you must provide proper rest to your eyes. Don’t spend endless hours in front of the computer or TV. If your job demands you to spend a long time on computer screens, then you must ensure that you rest your eyes at frequent intervals.

In addition, you can also use an antiglare filter on your computer screen so that you can prevent your eyes from getting tired and strained.

An important part of preventing straining of eyes is by following proper reading postures. Most of us follow wrong reading postures like reading while lying down.

Also, while reading, you should ensure that there is proper light so that your eyes are not strained. In addition, you should ensure that you watch TV from a right distance and also keep the computer screen at a right level so that your eyes are not strained and stressed.

Sun’s UV rays are not only harmful for your skin but also for your eyes. To prevent your eyes from sun’s damage, you must wear proper sunglasses when going out in sun.

Along with the above given preventive tips, you should also get regular eye checkups done to keep your eyes healthy and to prevent them from various eye problems.
