This in turn makes it difficult for us to wear the same shoe the next day due to trapped bad odor. If you are wondering of ways of get rid of such shoe odor, then read ahead.

First of all, you need to remember that getting rid of shoe odor is necessary from a hygienic point of view. Also, you wouldn’t like to get into bad smelling shoes for fear of social embarrassment. Here are some tips that can help you out.

First, wash your shoes thoroughly and thorough washing implies washing your shoes inside out. Remove the laces and then wash your shoes. Instead of washing your shoes with water alone, you should use a soapy mixture or detergent. Additionally, you can also use a bleaching agent to get rid of pungent odor from your shoes. After you wash your shoes, you must dry them out in sun.

It has been found that sprinkling your bad smelly shoes with baking soda can help in warding off the unwanted smell. However, for best results, you must sprinkle baking soda at night and then wash your shoes in the morning. Also, you must ensure that your shoes are properly dried before wearing them.

If you frequently suffer from shoe odor, then it might be a result of certain foot problems that lead to bad odor. Thus, you can try applying foot powders so as to keep your feet dry and also to prevent the foul smell. Also, never wear your shoes without socks as that will leave you with foul odor.
