Ways to get Rid of Corns

May 13, 2009

corngetIf a particular part of your body like your feet and toes are under continuous pressure, then calluses or corns can take place. Corns refer to the skin that gets thickened and even inflamed in some cases.

Corns can be extremely painful and can also cause certain difficulties in walking in some people. Thus you should be aware of some simple ways of getting rid of them.

As mentioned above, corns are a result of increased pressure in certain parts of your feet. They can also be caused by wearing tight or ill fitting shoe wear.

Thus, to prevent corns, you should ensure that the shoes you buy are of optimum fit and neither tight nor loose. Here are some other natural ways by which you can easily get rid of corns.

Since corns are hardened masses of skin, you need to reduce the thickness and hardening of your skin by applying oils like those of coconut and castor. Papayas are extremely useful for the natural treatment of corns.

It has been found that applying the juice of raw papaya on the affected area helps in getting rid of the problem of corns.

We have all heard of the natural healing powers of turmeric. It is good for the treatment of corns too. All you need to do is to mix little honey with turmeric powder to make a paste which should then be applied on the affected areas for immediate relief.

Corns can also be dissolved by soaking your feet that is affected by corns in a solution of water and baking soda. Additionally, you can use lemon for the same purpose. Apply the lemon on the affected areas to witness effective results.

Thus, follow the above given tips to naturally ward off the problem of corns.
