Ways to Build Stamina
If you fear at the thought of walking or feel breathless while climbing stairs or on the whole if you feel tired and worn out very frequently, then you need to increase your stamina. Stamina in simple terms is the measure of how effectively energy is utilized by the body and for how long the body can endure physical stress and strain. You need to have high stamina to survive the hectic schedule of today’s fast and competitive way. Thus, if you are suffering from low energy and stamina, then the following tips can help you out.
Stamina is built gradually over a period of time. There is no secret magical pill which can increase your stamina in a couple of hours. After all, for permanent effect, you need to have patience and will power. Exercise is one of the most natural and essential component of building stamina. You can start with the basics of walking and slowly increase your distance and pace. The more you walk, the better you will feel and will eventually find the difference in your stamina. There are various kinds of cardiovascular exercises and stamina building ones which can be followed for best results. However, you should not start exercising empty stomach as that will lead to weakness and dizziness. You need to provide your body with energy in the form of healthy diet. Eating three healthy meals in a day can help. Moreover a mini meal of 200 to 300 calories can be taken an hour or so before exercising so that your body has enough fuel for exercising. Relaxation and deep breathing also plays an important role in helping you increase stamina. Keep yourself motivated and focused and try bringing in loads of activity in your daily schedule. Begin with small things and you’ll slowly end up achieving greater goals. Make it a point to skip the elevator for stairs or car for walking and you’ll find yourself treading the healthy route of life.
