Arriving at the right diagnoses of migraine is one of the most difficult tasks, but the happy new is that even you can also correctly diagnose the migraine all by yourself. You don’t have to bother for getting CT scans, X-rays and other tests to diagnose migraine. This is because diagnose of migraine depends largely on pattern recognition rather than a battery of tests. Here are some ways that can help you to recognize migraine patterns, just read them out!
Genetic disposition:
Remember that migraines passed down though generations. So if your ancestors, like your grandma, or even your parents suffers from a migraine problem, there are 90 percent chances that you may suffer from same too. The tendency of developing headache in response to certain triggers gets increased in such conditions.
The peak productive years:
It has been clinically proved that migraine attacks mostly hit people falling under the age group of 15 to 40 years.
Hormones disturbances:
This is one of the most common reasons for migraine. More often, hormonal influences affects your brain functioning and make you prone to migraine problem. Such a migraine caused due to hormonal imbalances affects more females than men.
Shifting scenario:
Remember that migraine differs from other headaches. Migraine starts on one side of the head and gets spread to both the sides of your brain. Along with pulsating, throbbing feeling in head, symptoms such as vomiting, intolerance to light and sounds also develops in a person.
Increased stress level:
Due to increased educational stress among children, migraines have started attacking kids too. However the manifestations are different with children and they may not have same patterns as adults suffer from. Also, their headaches are usually briefer and tend to get lessen considerably or disappear with sleep only.
