Undoubtedly, for most of women who are caught in family trap, having a child can be a marriage deal for them no matter whether she is really for a decision of child-birth or not. As per society, No matter what height a woman scales in the corporate world, she will be declared truly successful only when she becomes a mother. But this belief is loosing its significance day by day amongst the youngsters. In fact you’ll be surprised to read that women who are highly ambitious in respect of their careers don’t want to have child at all. Being a childless doesn’t make them feel incomplete anymore.
The taboo of childlessness is far more acute in semi-urban towns than in metro cities. But No matter how much our society is child –centric, professional woman doesn’t feel any sense of incompleteness if she decides not to have a baby. It is a mature choice of liberating oneself from having the responsibilities of a child so that you can enjoy one’s personal space, freedom, money and energy which a child might need. Concept of childfree women reflects the belief of women that family is not that much important to her anymore in comparison to her career and individual independence.
