Along with keeping the body fit and healthy, walking also helps to refresh one’s mind and spirit. It can have major emotional benefits which include countering depression, relieving stress and increasing one’s physical and mental stamina. Proper posture is advised during walking which includes standing up straight with ears, shoulders, hips, knees and ankle in a vertical line. Leaning forward during walking is not a good idea as it can lead to back strain.
