Trying hard for your child’s admission in school?

March 31, 2009

Undoubtedly it is a matter of pride now-a-days to announce to the world which school your toddler is going to. Every year parents try hard to get their child admitted into some or the other reputed school. This year has been no different. But parents, mind it that fight became tougher this time around due to the schools accepting only those children who stay within 10 km radius of the school. yet several parents  too complains that despite rules, many schools are admitting kids from far flung areas also if the latter comes through ‘contacts’.

When the schools emphasis so much on admitting only those kids into the school that live in the 10 km radius, then one wonders as to how much kids from distant places manage to get into the schools, while several school fails to do so. Some parents through contacts get their children through the reputed schools. But this is equally true that such thing is really humiliating for both the kids as well as the parents. Many times, parents even agree to give impressive donations to the schools, but nothing works out. Lack of contacts is what they state as the reason.

Parents at times also complain that if the school authorities are accepting money or admitting children on some ‘good recommendations’ then they should declare the same and not waste the time of several other parents. They say that if somebody’s child has been admitted through contacts or donation, so why do schools hide that? They should play a fair game. It is very important that parents should seek all the required information from the school authorities to get their child admitted in it with fair chances and not by other false, illegal ways and recommendation.
