Truth behind diet food
Ever thought that the diet food on which you blindly trust can really prove to be harmful for your body. Here are few diet foods mentioned, just beware of them.
Diet drinks
Various types of artificial sweeteners are used in such low-calorie drinks that get added to your body weight. These sweeteners trick your body to thinking that it is getting huge surge of calories- but when it doesn’t your body gets hungry and overeat.
So, it is better and healthier for you to stick to plain water, if you want to taste some fizz go for some fresh fruit juices with a tinge of lemon. This will definitely boost your digestion system too.
Breakfast food
No doubt, the low calorie cereal bars look tempting and promising with their ‘low calorie’ promises but it would be wise if you avoid them as much as you can. This is because these food stuffs are packed with artificial sweeteners and sugar. They can give you an instant hit of energy but crashes your blood sugar levels tremendously leaving you feeling tired and hungry.
Instead you can always a handful of nuts as a part of nutty crunchy snack. Remember nut eaters consume less because nuts are packed with protein which keeps them felling full for long time.
Smoothies
Mind it that smoothies don’t always fill you up as much as the whole fruit equivalent because some of the fiber gets wiped out in the smoothie making process. Believe me, often the banana, pineapple and coconut smoothies are much high on calories just like any normal sandwich.
So, it would be better if you stick to a whole fruit which is easy and quick to eat. If you find it hard to resist then restrict yourself with one a day that too in between your meals and not as a drink that go with your meal.
