Your children’s summer vocation will soon begin. They will constantly weave in and out your kitchen looking for something to munch on. Now, it is your duty to veer them away from those fried foods like potato chips, chola bhaturas, samosas etc. you can always try out these, easy to make fun and healthy lip smacking snacks that will make your children to ask for more and more.

# Corn bhel
Ingredients
100gms American corns,150 gms of three to four varieties of sprouts,1 finely chopped onion,1 diced tomatao,1some chopped coriander leaes,1/2 lime, chaat masala, salt and pepper to taste

Method
Put the sprouts and corn into a bowl and toss with chat masala, salt and pepper. Microwave this mixture on a HIGH for 5 minutes. Now add onions, tomatoes, lime juice and coriander leaves to it. Serve with grated carrots and lettuce leaves for colorful and wholesome meal.

# Bread vegetable dream
Ingredients
12 sliced bread,1 diced tomatao,1 diced carrot,1 diced capsicum,1 diced onion,1/4 diced cabbage,2 grated cheese cubes,100gm sweet corn,1/4 tsp coriander powder,1/4 tsp red chili powder,1/4 tsp garam masala and salt to taste

Method
Cut the bread into perfect circles by using a sharp edged bowl. Now heat some butter on a non-stick pan and fry both sides of bread slice for few seconds.
Mix all the vegetables with coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala and salt. Microwave this preparation for 3 minutes on HIGH.
Now, stuff this mixture between the slices of bread. Garnish with capsicum and tomato slices before serving.

# Spinach dumplings
Ingredients
One bundle of spinach leaves, 100gm of chopped coriander, 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1/4 tsp red chilly powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala, 4 tsp rice –flour, 4 tsp wheat flour, 4tsp gram flour, 1 tsp oil, salt and pepper to taste

Method
Chop the spinach leaves finely .Add chopped dhania, red chili powder, garam masala, garlic-ginger paste along with salt and pepper. Let it marinate for 5 minutes.
Mix rice –flour, wheat flour, gram flour together wit water in above mixture. Now make small even balls from this. Now microwave these dumplings for 10 minutes on HIGH.
Allow them to cool before placing them on non-stick pan to sauté.
Sprinkle chat masala and garnish with coriander leaves to make it ready to serve.
