Tips to take care of yourself in winters

November 20, 2008

Certainly with the onset of winter season, you need to become more cautious in regard to your skin care and hair care. So, for all you people out there who are worrying about their skin, read out the article written below that will surely help you to take care of oneself in winter season.

If the winter season dries your skin, then here is a perfect way to get a glowing and silky skin. Believe me’ a regular use of a good scrub and once –over every alternate day is a great way to have a clean silky skin. After every bath, don’t forget to apply a body lotion all over your body. This will avoid your skin to get dry up. If you can get some time free from your busy schedules, then make sure you go for a warm sesame oil body massage once in a week or at least in 15 days. You can even do it in your home itself.

Lips are probably the first part of our body that can react to the winter dry air. Avoid licking your lips as much as possible. Also, do not peel off the flaky skin that gets developed on your lips. This is because tearing it down only worsens the situation and lead to the development of cracks. The best solution for treating such a lip condition is by applying a mixture of lanolin and glycerin to it. Apply this solution twice a day on your lips to get the maximum results.

Do you know that hot water and shampoo can strip the natural oil from your hair scalp? This leaves the scalp dry, flaky and itchy, plus it can also lead to dandruff too. So, make sure you give your head a good oil massage once a week. And later wash it off with light shampoo and lukewarm water.
