Tips to take care of skin in summers

August 4, 2008

First and foremost it is very important that whenever you step out of your house, you apply a good quality sunscreen on both your hands and face and also on other body parts that may come in direct contact with sunlight. Remember that the major reason behind age spots are your direct exposure to sunlight, so better you watch out for this. Make sure you avoid going out in blistering sun rays. Mind it, the sooner you start wearing sunblock, the less likely you will get affected by summers scorching sun.

Whenever you go out for shopping a sunscreen, choose a one that blocks UVA and UVB rays and has an SPF of at least 15.

Try to minimize your exposure to sunlight between 10 am to 2 pm. This is because at these timings sunlight is at its strongest.

Make sure you wear full sleeves clothes whenever you step out from your place. This will surely protects you from heating sun rays plus avoids any tanning that may happen on your skin. Just give a back seat to your sleeveless and half sleeves clothes for sometime.

You can always use alpha-hydroxy creams and lotions to protect you skin in summers. This type of lotions also keeps your skin smoother and clearer.

If you are troubled and irritated by age spots, then buy a good quality bleaching agent from a market for yourself. This agent, if applied in a proper manner helps in fading away the age spots effectively. You can easily buy this from any local chemist shop. But if you somehow fail to treat the age spots and any other skin ailment caused due to exposure to sunlight, then make sure you visit your healthcare expert immediately and seek his advice.
