For a healthy sleep, it is important to regulate your internal body clock. Maintain a regular sleeping schedule to prevent the problem of insomnia. You can create a pre-bedtime routine such as reading a book, listening to slow and soothing songs, having a hot water bath and any other activity that signals your brain ever night that it’s time to sleep.

Sleep environment is extremely important. You should have a comfortable and a peaceful sleep environment for getting a sound and a healthy sleep. Dim lights, quiet and a peaceful bedroom, and comfortable mattresses create an appropriate environment for healthy sleeping.

There are various kinds of mattresses such as foam, spring, and mattresses of natural fiber that are available in markets. You should choose a mattress you are most comfortable with to have a healthy and a sound sleep. In addition, try to adjust the room temperature to make it ideal for sleeping.

Are you are in a habit of sleeping within a short span of eating? If yes, then you must change your habit. You should eat at least two hours before sleeping. Also, avoid having caffeine or alcohol before sleeping. You might think that taking a peg before sleeping might help you overcome your stress and help you get a better sleep. However, this is a false belief because alcohol disrupts the healthy sleep of a person.

Along with the above given tips, you should also exercise regularly, especially during evenings. This is because physical activity not only keeps you healthy and fit but also helps in providing a healthy sleep.
