Tips for exercising
Watch out for exercise timings
Exercise at least 2 hours after a meal. That 2 hour gap helps the body to digest the food appropriately and does not convert the energy needed for digestion to wards exercising. This way, you do not get muscle cramps or gas from half-digested food.
Don’t play too hard
A good sleep, deep sleep where you wake up rejuvenated, is a sign that you are exercising at your ease. But, if you feel over-stimulated after exercising and cannot sleep at night, lessen your exercising time and number of movements. Undeniably, you have been overdoing it. Make sure that you always warm up with gentle exercise. These exercises plan your muscles for a more intense session and prevent them from tearing.
Watch out for them
While walking or running, wear cotton socks to absorb your perspiration, and thick-heeled shoes that are one size bigger than your usual size. These two precautions keep corns, blisters and joint pains at bay.
Also wear loose cotton clothes to allow your body to breathe, and snug underwear.
Starting on simpler note
Always cool down after a session, again with slow, moderate stretches. Stopping hastily makes the blood circulation that has got speeded up during exercising; to start quickly pumping in a reverse direction, give puffy feet as the blood pools in the lower regions of the body.
Consulting your heath expert
If you are over 35 years of age, consult with your family physician before you follow your exercising regime. It is moreover necessary if you have a personal or family history of heart problems or blood pressure. If your eyes are extremely weak, then make sure you check with a retinal surgeon before embarking on your exercise programme.
Wait and watch
Finally, do not expect instant or early results as this will make you exercise on more faster and vigorous speed, leading to injuries pains and aches. So its better you get off to a slow start. No matter how healthy you may be, your muscles need to be conditioned gradually; otherwise you will feel discomfort instead of pleasure.
