Thinking to get married? Read this!

March 6, 2009

Does the question of marriage fill your heart with anxiety and anticipation? Your folks will definitely take care of the shopping, arrangements, invitations and similar stuff, but there are still certain matters that demand your personal attention when it comes to getting married. It is very important for you to make sure that you check all the details to make start for a blissful married life.

Always follow your gut feeling. As the say, you marry only once. So take an inward look and probe yourself. Are you mentally compatible with your parent’s choice? Are you receiving the right vibes from your future spouse or do you think something is amiss? Is anyone emotionally blackmailing you into marriage? Are you emotionally and in all other ways prepared for a lifelong alliance? Ponder over these questions and let your heart respond. As they say, marry in haste, repent at leisure. Be sure of your feelings and only then take the plunge.

If you have any doubts, make sure you clear them from an authentic source. As one is on the brink of a new experience, doubts and qualms are bound to crop up before the nuptials. Romance literature and half-baked truths from peers can be really misleading. It is a good idea to seek information from seniors or reliable informants. Remember marriage is an art you perfect with time. So don’t be in a hurry to excel.

So after checking out everything, cast worries aside and strive to look your best on your D day. Work on your body and looks to give your best shot. Exercise daily. Sift books for tips on skin and hair care. Make an appointment with dentist. Eat balanced meals with generous helpings of fresh fruits and vegetables. Sleep sensibly and relax.
