Think again
Whenever we fall ill, there’s one thing that we all will get absolutely uncharged: advice! Everyone from your mom to grand mom to adjacent residing neighbors to remotely living uncles and aunts have their own health myths which they religiously follow. You feel as if everybody is a health expert armed with their own standard list of dos and don’ts. But make sure before you follow anything blindly to separate the myth from facts. It’s a high time, now debunk them.
It is always recommended to drink as much water as you can. But that’s not true. Intake of more amount of water than that recommended makes you to sweat and urinate in larger quantities which cause loss of electrolytes from your body. Drinking more than required quantity of water often leads to condition known as hyper-dehydration.
It is common belief that eating yoghurt and fishes together causes white patches on skin. But here lies the truth. There’s no truth in this belief as very often fishes are marinated in yoghurt before they are cooked. So there’ nothing fishy about combining both flavors and enjoying it.
People who suffer from asthma are proscribed to eat yoghurt and rice, but the truth is that no scientific evidence has ever confirmed this myth. Rather eating yoghurt in dinner fuels the production of sleep inducing hormone called serotonin.
Whenever bad cramps hit you during your periods, your mom drops a painkiller in your hand. Avoid this. Be brave enough. Just take little bit of precautions; your pain will suddenly vanish away. But still if you feel you are unable to tolerate the cramps, you can go for painkiller, but only in severe conditions.
If you think that using a hot water bag for curing the pain caused due to injury will help, then think again. It can relax your muscle but can cause inflammation. Instead you can go for ice pack .this will not only relieve you from pain but trim down the inflammation too.
