One should clean gold jewelry with a cleaning solution of sudsy lukewarm water and can also get it steam-cleaned from the jeweler. Grease can be removed from gold by dipping it into ordinary rubbing alcohol. Similarly, one can remove tarnish from one’s precious gold ornaments by using soap and water with a few drops of ammonia. After one has finished cleaning, one should rinse the gold with lukewarm water and allow it to dry.
