Symptoms of Fibroids
A woman suffering from uterine fibroids often has an inherent fear as to whether her fibroid is cancerous or not. Usually, fibroids are non-cancerous growths and have a very faint possibility of becoming cancerous.
However, it is always better to understand the signs and symptoms of your body to detect fibroids and get a timely treatment.
Many women suffering from fibroids do not detect this problem in time. However, there are certain symptoms which are associated with fibroids and one should pay attention to these signs and signals of the body.
Fibroids lead to heavy vaginal bleeding. Many women who suffer from heavy bleeding during their menstruation tend to have medicines but do not think about getting a check-up done.
However, if you suffer from heavy and even painful bleeding, then you must consult a doctor as it can be a symptom of fibroid. This heavy vaginal bleeding in turn can lead to dizziness, anemia, and weakness.
Women suffering from fibroids have a feeling of pressure and heaviness in their pelvic region. Sometimes, fibroids can also lead to pelvic pain. In addition, fibroids also lead to frequent urination. Thus, if you have fibroids, you might find yourself frequently passing urine.
Along with the above given symptoms, fibroids can also lead to lower back pain which can vary in magnitude. In addition, it can also lead to pain during sex.
Usually the treatment advised for fibroids is hysterectomy which involves surgical removal of the uterus. However, this treatment is advised usually when your fibroids lead to other medical problems.
For instance, fibroids are one of the major causes of anemia and hysterectomy can be advised to those women who are suffering from chronic anemia due to fibroids.
Proper exercise and keeping your weight under check can also help. Thus, you must understand the signs and signals of your body to detect the problem of fibroids in time.
