Symptoms of Eye Strain
If you spend long hours working on your computer or if you are glued to the Television set for a long time, then your eyes can suffer from fatigue and strain.
Given below are the various symptoms associated with eye strain.
Most people who strain their eyes complain of a headache. The headache experienced can be mild to severe. Nausea, vomiting, neck and shoulder pain are some other symptoms of eye strain.
If you find your eyes turning red or if you find water coming out of your eyes, then they are an indication that your eyes are tired and require rest. We require eyes for all the things we do.
However, to keep your eyes healthy and fit, you need to ensure that you prevent them from frequently getting tired and strained.
People suffering from eye strain will also complain of blurred vision. Such people find it difficult to focus on a particular thing and major problem arises in refocusing eyes to different things and to different distances.
If you sit in front of the computer screen for long hours and strain your eyes, then it will take your eyes some time to readjust to a distance. In addition, eye strain can also sometimes lead to symptoms like doubling up of vision and even changes in the color of things one sees.
Some people who suffer from eye strain also complain of twitching of the eyelids and even inflammation of the lids. The eye muscles get weak and this in turn can affect your vision.
Eye strain is a root cause of various problems. Thus, it is imperative that you take proper care of your eyes and prevent them from excessive fatigue and strain.
Indulging in eye exercises, having a proper diet, and providing rest to your eyes helps in preventing eye strain and its related problems.
