Symptoms of Breast Cancer
One fear which hovers in every woman’s mind is the fear of breast cancer. It is a dreaded disease as there is a steady rise in the number of women being affected by this problem.
To treat the problem of breast cancer in time, it is necessary to have a timely diagnosis and detection of breast cancer. This article will talk about some common symptoms that can be associated with breast cancer.
A woman needs to take proper care of her breasts to keep them healthy and safe from diseases. Have you ever wondered why doctors often advise women above the age of 30 to have an annual mammogram done?
This is because many times breast cancer does not display any symptom in its initial stages. A mammogram can help in detecting the problem in time, thereby helping you get a timely treatment.
Self examination of breasts on a regular interval is required to detect the problem of breast cancer in time. If you find any change in the shape of your breast or if you find swellings or lumps in the breast region, then you must visit your doctor. Similarly, any sores or ulcers on the breast skin should also be immediately reported to the doctor.
Any significant change in the color or position of your nipple should also be reported to the doctor. Abnormal nipple discharge or pain in the nipples can be symptoms of breast cancer. Along with lumps in the breast region, swelling in the armpit can also be a symptom of breast cancer.
Above mentioned are the symptoms of breast cancer in its early stage. However, if proper attention is not paid to the above symptoms, then breast cancer can advance to the next stage and lead to symptoms like breathing difficulties, appetite loss, and unexplained weight loss.
Pay attention to the above given symptoms of breast cancer for a timely diagnosis and treatment of the problem.
