Sumptuous sweets recipes

Hey people, here are some mouth-watering and sumptuous sweet recipes for all you with sweet tongue!

Kong phirin
Ingredients

1.5 liters milk, 100 gm sugar, 75 gm sooji, 0 strands of saffron, 6-8 pieces of elaichi, 5 gm cashew, 50 gm almonds, 10 earthenware katoris.

Method
Heat 100 gm water and add the saffron strands, boil for 10 minutes and keep it side. In a heavy –bottomed pan, boil milk and add the crushed kaju-pista. Stir on slow flame for 10 minutes. Add sugar and sooji. Keep stirring all this while to avoid lumps. Cook on slow flame for 10 minutes more till the mixture becomes slightly thick yet easy to pour. Add the saffron water and powdered cardamom. Allow the preparation to cool before pouring it into earthenware katoris. Garnish with almonds and freeze before serving.

Mysore paak
Ingredients
2 cup besan, 2 cup sugar, 5 cardamom powder, 2 cup ghee, 10 chopped badam

Method
Boil 3-4 cups of water in a boiler and add sugar to prepare 3 tar chaashni.
Heat 1/2 cup ghee in pan and sauté besan in it.
Add chaasnhi to sautéed besan.
Heat oil and pour them in the above mixture.
Pour it in the serving plate and add chopped badam and cardamom powder to it.
Cut it into desired shape and serve.

Shri khand
Ingredients

2 cup curd, ¼ tsp kesar mixed in milk, 1/ 2tsp chopped badam, 2 cup sugar powder

Method
Bring boil to milk and prepare curd from it.
In the morning, put the above paste in muslin cloth so that whole water inside gets drained off.
Now pour the curd in another bowl and add sugar to it. Mix well.
Add kesar and crushed badam and put it in the refrigerator to cool down.
Serve chilled.
