Summer Skin Care
With the approaching of summer, you not only have to prepare yourself with light clothes, but also with some basic summer skin care tips. After all, your skin needs utmost protection and care to stay in a healthy condition. With the sun shinning in its full blaze and loads of heat being generated on earth, you need some extra care to retain the naturally softness and radiance of your skin. Given below are some helpful tips that will aid you in optimum summer skin care.
We all have heard it numerous times of the harm that ultraviolet rays can cause to the skin. It can lead to premature aging and in place of soft, firm and toned skin, you might be left with unwanted wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin. Additionally, in summers, the critical oil-water balance of the body gets disturbed and you also suffer from other skin problems like clogged pores and even the risk of skin cancer.
To prevent your skin from getting sun burnt, you need to apply a proper layer of sunscreen lotion on your face, neck and exposed parts of the body so as to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Prefer a sunscreen which has a minimum SPF of 15. Also, you should avoid going out during peak sunny hours. If you have to, then don’t forget your sunscreen. Also, don’t think that sunscreen applied once will suffice. You do need to reapply that layer if you sweat a lot or have a splash in water.
When it comes to skin care, you need to take care of your lips too. Prevent them from chapping and peeling by using a lip protector which has a SPF of 15. You should also keep your body hydrated by increasing your intake of water. Having a hydrated body is very important during summers, not only for a healthy skin, but also for a healthy body. Avoid caffeine and hard drinks.
Follow the above given tips for effective summer skin care.
