Being the best source of balanced food, sprouts play a vital role in the overall enhancement and sprouting of a person’s health. The best part of sprouting seeds is that it helps in reducing the non-nutritional elements of the sprouted food item. Moreover, sprouts are natural and complete food which quickly reaches the different organs of the body to provide instant energy. The starch present in sprouts convert into glucose, fructose and maltose thereby helping in enhancing taste along with improving digestion. They also aid in controlling weight while improving health. In addition, certain sprouts are also rich in important nutrients like vitamin C, iron, riboflavin and niacin amongst others. While kidney beans are rich in Vitamin A, E and C, fenugreek seed sprouts have curative powers. Similarly gram sprouts provide vitamin, protein and minerals. If you are an alcohol addict, then sprouts can prove extremely beneficial in helping you get rid of this unhealthy habit.
Benefits of Sprouts are, they should be consumed in their raw form as boiling, cooking or roasting can destroy their nutritional value. However, it can be steam-cooked. One should ensure that the seeds, grains or lentils chosen for making sprouts are fresh, clean and free from chemicals to experience their health enhancing effects.
