Special curd recipes

Here are some special and tasty curd recipes for all you curd lovers-so read them and try in your kitchen cabinets.

Chilla curd
Ingredients:

1 cup moong dal, 3 chopped green chilies, 1 tbsp grated ginger, 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves,  ¼ tsp jeera, 1 ½ tsp salt, 500 gm curd, ½ tsp mustard seeds, a pinch of hing, ¾ tsp red chili powder, 3-4 green chilies, ¾ tsp roasted  and powdered jeera, 2 red chilies, some green coriander

Method:
Soak moong dal in water for 3-4 hours. Sieve the dal later.
Make a good paste of ginger, jeera, green chilies, coriander leaves, hing and ½ tsp salt in a blender by adding required water. Use it as a batter for pancake.

Heat some oil in a pan, pour the batter on this tawa and prepare a nice crispy pancake/chilla on it.
Blend the curd nicely and add salt to it. Add chopped crispy pieces of the prepared pancake in the curd. Add red chilies, roasted jeera and chopped coriander laves to it.

Splutter 1 tsp mustard seeds, red chilies in oil pour the curd in it and serve hot without any delay otherwise the crispiness of pancakes may get lost.

Garlic-ginger boondi raita
Ingredients:

50 gm besan, pinch of hing, 50 gm ginger, 50 gm garlic, oil for frying, ¼ roasted jeera, ½ tsp salt, pinch of soda, 500 gm curd, ¼ tsp black pepper, ¼ tsp red chili powder

Method:
Make a paste of garlic and ginger. Add hing, soda, ginger-garlic paste to besan and prepare a batter for preparing boondi. Make small boondi and fry them in oil in pan.
Beat the curd well with the help of blender. Add prepared boondi to it. Add black pepper, red chili powder, rock salt and roasted jeera to it. Serve.
