Some low calorie and healthy food items

Hey people, here are some low calorie special recipes for all you fitness freak lovers and weight conscious people! They are not only tasty but also healthy too! So try them in your kitchen cabinets.

Dahl palak
Ingredients
1 bunch spinach, 200 gm whipped curd, 1 inch ginger, 1 green chili,2 whole red chilies, 1 tsp roasted cumin powder, 1 tsp vegetable oil, salt to taste

Method

Finely chop the spinach leaves and boil them in a little water for five minutes. Let it cool for sometime. Put the curd in a bowl and stir it well, adding salt, cumin powder and the spinach to it.

Grate the ginger, chop the green chili and add both to the yoghurt as well.

Heat oil and splutter the red chili in it.

Garnish the dahi-palak with it.

Savor it with rice or fluffy, whole-wheat chapattis.

Cucumber and dill
Ingredients

1 shredded cucumber, 1 cup plain curd, 1 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp garlic paste; 1 tsp chopped fresh dill, 2 tsp Dijon mustard, pepper to taste

Method
Drain the cucumber and mix all the ingredients with it.

Now refrigerate it and serve chilled with other fruits.

Amla chutney
2 kg amla pulp, 100 g mint leaves, 100 gm ginger, 40 gm cardamom, 40 gm black pepper, 40 gm white jeera, 10 gm daalchini, 10 cloves, salt and pepper to taste

Method
Wash the mint leaves and then pour them into blender with amla pulp. Blend them well to make a nice paste.

Add salt and pepper to the above paste.

Now add all the other seasonings- like jeera, ginger, cardamom, daalchini, black pepper to the paste after making them in powder form.

Mix everything well.

Your healthy and low calorie chutney is ready to eat.

Serve with paranthas.
