Every woman is different and thus, there are few who have their periods with no discomfort or pain at all, while there are some who suffer from extreme menstrual pain and cramps.

If you are having menstrual abdominal cramps and pain, you can try out the tried and tested hot bottle therapy. That is to say, apply a warm/ heat pad or water bottle on the aching region. Don’t heat it so much that you burn yourself. You can also take a hot water bath as that helps in relaxing and easing the pain.

Certain dietary changes can also help. If you are fond of caffeine, then you should limit its intake, especially during and before your menstrual cycles. This is because caffeine can contribute to such menstrual cramps and other problems.

During your menstrual cycles, you must have herbal teas as that help in naturally alleviating pain and menstrual cramps. You can have herbal teas made of mint or saffron.
