highbloodpreseuresignHigh blood pressure or hypertension is a medical term often heard of in today’s stressful world. High blood pressure is a leading cause of deaths due to heart attack and more and more people are becoming affected by this problem. Stress, tension, unhealthy diet, and a sedentary lifestyle are some common causes of high blood pressure.

One needs to be aware of the signs and symptoms of high blood pressure so that timely action can be taken. However, high blood pressure is a problem that does not exhibit its arrival. Many times, it does not lead to any symptoms and it is for this reason that the problem of hypertension is even more dangerous.

To keep yourself healthy, you must pay close attention to even minute signs and signals of your body. Usually, people who suffer from frequent headaches and nausea should get themselves checked by a doctor.

Similarly, symptoms like dizziness and blurring of vision can also be signs of high blood pressure. Also, it has been found that high blood pressure can make a person feel confused and the person can suffer from unexplained fatigue.

According to medical science, there is a link between hypertension and eye related problems. Chronic high blood pressure can adversely affect your vision by narrowing the blood vessels or by leading to a swelling of the optic nerve.

High blood pressure can also be characterized by symptoms like irregularities in heart beat and even chest pain. Similarly, difficulty in breathing and blood in the urine are some other symptoms of hypertension.

If the problem of high blood pressure is not controlled and treated in time, it could lead to serious organ failures like kidney failure. In addition, chronic high blood pressure is one of the major causes of heart attack, stroke, and vision problems.
