Reasons why people avoid dental flossing
Do you know that tongue and tooth brushing in combination with dental flossing significantly decreases gums bleeding by 38 percent. But it’s sad that many of us have not grown up in a “flossing culture’ so we are oblivious of the joys and benefits of this healthy habit. There are number of reasons people give to avoid flossing, some of them are given below-just read on!
Some people are afraid that flossing can damage their gums and cause bleeding. But mind it that flossing is a technique, which if performed correctly can improve your oral hygiene instead of harming. Initially people tend to have bleeding gums but this does not happen over time as one learns to use it in a perfect way.
Some says they do not have time for dental flossing. But mind it that brushing twice day is not sufficient. Flossing reaches where toothbrush can’t and removes food particles from the teeth. Flossing reduces the number of bacteria which inhabit in your mouth. It only takes five minutes, so better do it.
If you think flossing is a cosmetic procedure, then think again. It is nothing more a myth. Remember that dental flossing is an intrinsic part of dental hygiene regime worldwide. It helps in removing plaque. If plaque is not timely removed, then it can take a form of tarter in less than two days, which is too hard that only a dentist can remove it through professional cleaning session.
People use household items like knives, keys, paper clips, matchsticks, earrings, scissors, and nail files as floss. They just use whatever is close to their hand when the food gets struck in their teeth. But trust me; this act damages your teeth to a big extent. Even tooth pick is not safe at all. So use standard dental flossing for cleaning the tight spaces between your teeth because this is the most effective method.

Hi,
Don’t know if you have ever heard of this product – Brytonpick…
It’s for when you are on the go, with no time to floss properly. It can help!
Thanks!
True, I never had time or place to floss, especially during the day. Flossing was always a nightmare until I’ve got the brytonpick. I never bleed with it. For me it is the total alternative to floss.
