Quick fixes to hide that hangover

August 14, 2008

Had a party last night? Feeling bloated and bleary the next morning with low levels of energy? Then don’t panic! Here are some essential quick fixes listed below to convert your groggy self into a confident, smart woman. Just read on and relax!

Drink lots of water:
After you wake up, drink lots of water. Half to one liter of water is a must to refresh your dehydrated skin. You can also make a warm cuppa of honey mixed in warm water and half a lemon’s juice. The drink will give you an instant energy and refresh you.

Put out the puff:
You can reduce the puffiness of your eyes by placing the refrigerated tea bags on your eyes for five to ten minutes. After placing, gently press with your fingertips on the mid-brow area and massage on the pre-oracular and post-oracular lymph nodes present in front and behind your ears. This massage will produce water in the eyes and eases the puffiness. You can even press a cold cucumber slice to the eyes or do gentle massage with aloe Vera gel. Make sure your massage start from the outer corner of the eyes and move inwards.

Wipe off:
Remember that a good face wash is necessary to rejuvenate your skin. You can always use gentle scrub and massage it in circular motion and wash off. Fresh curd mixed with apricot granules is a great alternative too. After the scrub you can apply tomato or papaya pulp for ten minutes for rejuvenating your skin.

Get a cold shower:
Rush into a spray of icy-cold water. This jolt will be enough to wake your skin and freshen up your body. Also, don forget to wash your hair. After the bath, apply any soothing fragrance that can soothe your frayed nerves like lavender or lemon.
