You must have heard of Shiv Khera’s famous saying- “The man who wins is the man who thinks he can”. The power of thinking is so immense that it eventually decides the personality of a person as you are what you think. Positive thinking is that magical remedy of all troubles as a man can successfully overcome all his obstacles with the mere power of positive thinking. Having positive thoughts implies being active, enthusiastic and happy with life despite all odds. This in turn helps in providing the person with the much needed power to deal with all struggles and hardships of life.
You must have heard various people shunning this whole concept of positive thinking as something mere false or illusion. However, belief and especially self-belief is the primary requirement which in collaboration with positive thinking helps in providing strength and confidence to a person. Words have something with superlative power and it is up to a person to adopt an optimistic approach to life or a pessimistic one. While the former would try converting all failures into stepping stones of success, the latter would turn a problem of a size of mole into one of mountain. It’s all in the mind and it is the mind which one needs to control. The beliefs, knowledge and feelings are all associated with our internal thoughts which in turn are associated with our thinking mechanism. While it is easily said that adopt a positive approach to life, most people find it difficult during adverse conditions.
