Natural Ways to Treat Ear Infections
Infection in the ear can lead to a lot of pain and discomfort. It can also lead to fever, dizziness, fluid discharge, and even slight hearing loss. There can be various causes of ear infections like cold, inflammation, bacteria, fungi, or viral attack, and even frequent exposure to water. This article will provide some natural ways that can help in treating ear infections.
If your ear infection is leading to a lot of pain and irritation, then you can apply a warm water bottle near your paining ear. Similarly, a hot shower is also beneficial.
Ear pain caused by bacterial infections can be naturally treated with the help of garlic. All you need to do is to add a few drops of garlic extract in your ear. Similarly, you can use tea tree oil to naturally reduce pain and inflammation caused by ear infections.
If your ear infection is caused due to frequent exposure to water and swimming, then apple cider vinegar can prove beneficial. You can create ear drops at home by mixing apple cider vinegar with distilled water.
If you are suffering from blocked and painful ears due to cold and throat infections, then gargling with warm saline water can prove beneficial. You can also use decongestant nasal sprays. In addition, you should also drink a lot of water.
Certain nutrients and vitamins can prove beneficial for treating ear infections. Zinc and vitamin C are such important nutrients. Having a vitamin C rich diet can help in not only naturally treating ear infections, but also in preventing them. This is because vitamin C helps in boosting the immune system, thereby strengthening your body’s defense mechanism.
