November 24, 2008

Believe it or not, one of the most painful and discomforting ailment to have is that of toothache. From mild pain to sharp and shooting pains, toothaches are really uncomfortable which often makes one visit the dentist. However, there are certain natural ways by which you can effectively cure toothache at home. Given below are such helpful remedies.

If you are having pain in your tooth due to any reason like tooth decay, mouth bacteria or tooth cavity, you can ease the pain by applying clove oil to the aching tooth. Along with relieving pain, this also helps in removing any kind of tooth infection. Also, when toothache occurs, you should avoid hot, cold or sweet drinks as this will help prevent pain from pulpitis. Similarly, you can apply a mixture of pepper powder (a pinch of it) and quarter teaspoon of common salt on the aching tooth. Another effective natural treatment is that of dipping 1 clove of garlic in rock salt and placing it on the affected tooth. You can also gargle with a solution of salt and water. It acts as a mouthwash. Another natural mouthwash in case of tooth decay is that of the juice of wheat grass. Since lime is a rich source of vitamin C, it helps in preventing decay and loosening of teeth along with taking care of toothache and bleeding of gums. One of the most effective home remedy is that of mixing mustard oil and turmeric powder and applying it on the teeth. It helps in curing all teeth problems. To prevent tooth decay, you can chew fresh leaves of spinach. Similarly, gargling with hydrogen peroxide after every meal helps in keeping teeth healthy by killing all germs and bacteria.

Thus follow the given preventive and natural cure of toothache to get relief from discomfort caused by shooting tooth pains.
