Natural ways of treating Backache

Backache is a common problem which can vary from being mild to severe. Defined as pain and discomfort in the lower area of the back, backache can be a result of various factors- back strain, strained ligaments, muscle injury, pregnancy, and even due to serious accidental or chronic conditions like spinal disc disorders. It has been found that some diseases like arthritis, abdominal disorders, meningitis, bone cancer and other chronic ailments can also lead to back pains. Instead of making your life dependent on medicines, you can try out certain natural and even home made remedies to seek relief from this discomforting ailment.

Backache is a problem which is common in today’s lifestyle due to sedentary living and a stressful life. However, the frequency of pain varies individual to individual and while some can get fully cured through natural treatments, these home made remedies can definitely aid in relieving certain amount of pain from people with severe, chronic backaches like those suffering from some spinal injury. The most important thing to focus is on prevention technique which involves changing the sedentary lifestyle, exercising for the fitness of muscles, eating a proper diet to keep one’s weight in check and following proper postures of sitting and walking.

To naturally treat backache at home, you can follow these given methods. Soak 60 grams of wheat in water at night. In the morning, add 30 grams Cuscus grass to soaked wheat and also 30 grams coriander. Mix it to make a paste and boil it in 250 grams of milk till two-third of it is left. This helps in relieving pain along with increasing the digestive health of the body. Also, you can try giving juice of one lemon mixed with some salt to the affected person to provide relief to backache. Similarly, drink glucose or honey in warm water in the morning. Hot fomentations, alternate sponging or application or radiant heat to the back will also give immediate relief. Massages have also found to be quite effective. Massage the back with turpentine oil and perform some back stretching exercises and yogic asanas for natural cure of backaches.
