Instead of just popping a pill in your mouth to get immediate relief, one should opt for the much safer and effective natural route to treat headaches naturally without any side-effects. Given below are such useful tips.

A majority of headaches, including chronic ones, are a result of tension, stress and fatigue. You need to relax yourself to prevent as well a treat such kinds of headaches. For that, you should practice the yoga, deep breathing exercises and should also go in for a 30 minute walk everyday to de-stress yourself and also to keep yourself fit. Along with meditation and de-stressing activities, you can also cure the problem of headache using some natural methods. For instance, squeeze juice of 2 to 3 lemons in a cup of tea and drink it for immediate relief.  You can also make a fine paste of lemon crusts and apply it as a plaster on your forehead. Lemon is particularly helpful in treating headaches caused by heat. “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” is particularly apt in case of headaches as apples can treat almost all kinds of headaches. You should remove upper rind and inner hard portion of a ripe apple and take it with a little salt every morning on an empty stomach. For headaches caused due to exposure to cold air, cinnamon can be quite useful. Mix this spice with water and make a paste of it. Apply this healing paste on your temples to get relief.
