Natural Treatment of Anemia

October 8, 2008

Do you always feel fatigued and tired without doing anything; your skin is pale and dull; suffer from sore stomach and even nausea; and even have poor memory and headaches? If yes, then you should get your iron level checked as you may be suffering from anemia. Usually women are prone to anemia then men due to their biological makeup and hormonal changes. However, this problem should be treated as soon as possible to live a healthy life. Instead of trying different medicines, why not give nature a try. Try some natural homemade and herbal remedies so as to treat anemia the natural way.

Anemia is primarily caused due to inadequate intake of iron through diet, lack of hydrochloric acid in the body due to stress and tension; and even due to heavy menstruation in women. Anemia is a problem which can be easily prevented by making a healthy change in lifestyle. The best way to ensure that your body gets adequate amount of iron is by eating a well balanced and a nutritious diet instead of stuffing your stomach with fatty and fast food items. Iron should always be taken in organic forms and thus eat brown rice, wheat and wheat cereals, fruits like apples, raisins, dates, berries, cherries, peaches, grapes and not to forget the important green, leafy vegetables. In addition, also include tomatoes, carrots, beet and eggs in your diet. Ascorbic acid found in citrus fruits and copper found in watermelon are also essential for proper absorption of iron in the body.

In addition to a well balanced diet, you also need proper exercise and physical activity to enhance your health. Walking, deep breathing and simple yoga have all been found beneficial for naturally treating anemia. Thus, change your lifestyle for good so that you can live a healthy and disease-free life.
