Natural Treatment for Skin Tags

August 20, 2009

skintagEveryone wants to have a smooth and a clear face that is not tainted by any blemishes. However, there are times when we all have to suffer from some or the other skin eruption- be it moles, warts, pimples, acne or skin tags.

Skin tags are the unwanted growth of skin in various parts of the body. They are usually formed in areas of the skin that seem to be folded for a long time like cheek, neck, armpits, chest and other parts of the body. Skin tags can be of varying size and can occur in both men and women.

Pregnancy, age, and being overweight are some factors that can lead to growth of skin tags. Though skin tags are harmless, they do tend to spoil your look. It is for this reason many people seek for safe and simple ways of getting rid of skin tags. Given below are some simple natural ways by which you can get rid of skin tags.

Since skin tags are unwanted pieces of skin, a common way of getting rid of them is by cutting them using sanitized scissors or needle. However, this process can be painful and can also lead to little blood loss from the affected region. In addition, this method also carries the risk of infections if not performed properly.

Freezing your skin tags with liquid nitrogen can help in removing them. Similarly, you can remove your skin tag by removing them using a thread.

All you need to do is to wrap the thread at the base of your skin tag and then pull it tightly while tying a knot. This will restrict blood supply to the skin tag which in turn will make it naturally fall off in a couple of days.

Applying apple cider vinegar or tea tree oil on the affected areas will also help you get rid of skin tags naturally.
